I'm home from work. And it's not 9:00 PM. I don't even know what to do with myself. I mentioned before that we hired a new assistant manager at work. Finally. This is his first week without supervision. He's actually working a regular full time schedule now, and that means that I don't have to cover as many hours. I'm only scheduled for 46 hours this week - that's a full ten hours less than last week. Today I got home at 2:00. Normally on a Tuesday, I'd be there 'till 9:30. SPIDERS!

https://www.wired.com/wiredscience/2009/09/spider-silk/ This is just straight up amazing. An eleven foot long tapestry, woven entirely from spider silk. You must click that link and take a look at the brocaded tapestry. And the spiders that produced the cloth. Four years of effort, collecting spiders, acquiring their silk, and of course weaving it into cloth. This tapestry is currently on display at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. I'm hoping I can figure out a way to get up to New York to check it out.
